Our 23rd annual Doctors With a Heart Day will be on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. We look forward to serving needy people in our area that day, free of charge. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. We will be doing same day treatments such as cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
At Deerhaven, your safety and comfort is essential. We have implemented a new protocol toward this goal. When you arrive at our office, you will stay in your car and call us at the number posted on the sign in your parking slot. We will then meet you at your car and ask you some COVID screening questions. We will also check your temperature. If everything meets CDC recommendations, we will escort you in for your appointment.
During your appointment, you will notice the dentist, hygienist, or assistant wearing extra Personal Protective Equipment, including gowns, N95 masks, and visors. Also, you will see new air filtration systems in each room. You may be asked to wash your hands upon arrival and departure. The hygienist will schedule your next appointment before you leave, to minimize the need to visit the front desk on your way out. If you do need to check out, you will see new plexiglass barriers and hand sanitizer stations at the front desk as well.
COVID-19 has been a challenge for dental offices, but Deerhaven has met this challenge through extensive new safety measures. We value you, our patients, and want you to know you can feel safe and secure receiving treatment in our office.
Here at Deerhaven Family Dentistry we are honored to support our military veterans. Many of us have relatives and friends who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We appreciate their service. Many veterans have not had any access to dental care. We want to do our part to help them out. One way we do this is by hosting our Annual Veterans Free Dental Services Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. Please pass the word along if you know any veterans who are in need.
